CBD Gum: Does it Actually Work?
By now, you are probably aware that there are a lot of CBD products on the market that can help with many mental and physical health issues.
CBD chewing gum is just one of them, but it is one that a lot of people find to be really convenient and easy to use! It’s a great option for you to consider, especially if you have never used any form of CBD oil before…
What is CBD oil?
CBD or cannabidiol is a powerful phytochemical called a cannabinoid that can be found in hemp plants. You may or may not be aware that your body is equipped with an endocannabinoid system that plays a crucial role in your mental and physical health. Within this system, the body has cannabinoid receptors that are directly and indirectly involved with many bodily functions, such as learning and memory.
The body is built to receive cannabinoids! So it’s no surprise that CBD has been known to help with a lot of health and wellness issues. Some of them include:
One of the main reasons people like using CBD is because unlike traditional cannabis, it does not have any psychoactive effects.
This may come as a surprise to many people because there are forms of CBD (i.e. full spectrum) that contain trace levels of THC. But levels in legalized hemp products are far too low to cause a feeling of euphoria or being high.
Sometimes CBD is called hemp oil, but the two of them are not exactly the same. If you’re buying a CBD product that’s listed as ‘hemp oil’, be sure to ask for an independent lab test to confirm the presence of CBD if you’re unsure.
What is CBD gum?
CBD gum is nothing more than chewing gum that has been infused with CBD. If you have ever taken CBD oil before, then you know that sometimes its taste can leave a lot to be desired!
It can be difficult for people who don’t like the piney taste of hemp to swallow a dropper full, especially if it has no added flavors. Fortunately, there are many retailers that have found ways to add this wonderful product to other items we use every day. CBD gum is just one of them.
What are the benefits of chewing CBD gum?
CBD chewing gum has a lot of natural benefits, such as:
- It gives you a discreet way to take your CBD without calling any attention to yourself.
- CBD gum is known to taste great!
- It can make taking your CBD a lot more enjoyable for you.
- CBD gum from a reputable vendor can help you feel better both mentally and physically.
Best of all, since chewing gum can make you feel more relaxed all on its own, that feeling is compounded when you add CBD. This is especially true if you choose a full spectrum CBD gum because then you will be able to experience the entourage effect. This only occurs when all active ingredients are present in full spectrum CBD.
Does CBD gum work?
CBD infused gum works very well for some people! But everyone is different. You may want to try a few kinds and experiment with them. What works well for some might not work as well for you, and vice versa. But even if you do not think this product is for you, there is no need to worry. There are many other CBD products on the market that you might love.
Is CBD gum legal in the United States?
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized the production and sale of all hemp products and extracts. In the United States, hemp cannot contain more than 0.3% THC by weight. If a product does have more THC than that, it is classified as a Schedule I Drug according to the Drug Enforcement Administration. Those products are illegal according to the federal government, so while states may have laws permitting cannabis use, THC-laden hemp remains illegal at a national level in the US.
Are there different types of CBD gum?
There are three main types of CBD, and you may be able to find them in chewing gum form, depending on the manufacturer you choose. The three types of CBD are:
Full spectrum CBD contains THC (at or less than 0.3%) and it contains many other beneficial compounds that are typically found in the hemp plant. These include lipids, terpenes, and other cannabinoids. Using this type of CBD is how people experience the entourage effect, and this fact alone makes it one of the most popular options.
Broad spectrum CBD is similar to the full spectrum version, but it does not contain any THC. 0.0% THC to be exact. Some people claim that they can still experience the entourage effect since broad spectrum products usually contain other beneficial cannabinoids and/or terpenes from the hemp plant. But it might not be exactly the same as with a full spectrum product. Still, this type of CBD can be a great option for someone who does not want any THC in their system whatsoever.
The last type of CBD is CBD isolate, which does not contain any additional ingredients from the hemp plant at all. People who use this type of product do not experience the entourage effect, but it does have its benefits. It may be easier to find and it is also much cheaper!
How do you choose the right CBD product?
Now that you know more about the different types of CBD, you may find it easier to choose the right product for you. It is always a good idea to purchase a product from a reputable retailer and not from a company selling on websites like Amazon or eBay. You want to make sure that you are buying a pure CBD product that has been tested thoroughly and produced by a reputable, vetted vendor.
