We Reviewed Plain Jane Lab Results and Here’s What We Found

Plain Jane does not receive the COR Safety Badge for excellence in third-party testing, but they come really close.

While we know Plain Jane sources super high-quality hemp, we are unaware of their extraction method. Since we were able to view a current CBD Certificate of Analysis which shows a passing grade for residual solvents, we are able to award the Quality Badge in this case.

Plain Jane however doesn’t receive our Safety Badge, though they are awfully close. To qualify, a CBD brand must provide current cannabinoid profiles for each SKU as well as a contaminants panel for the bulk CBD hemp flower, CBD oil, etc. used in products. Plain Jane rocks at keeping their cannabinoid profiles up to date, but we were unable to find any contaminants tests for heavy metals and microbes. These appear to be the only lab results Plain Jane is missing for the Safety Badge, so in this case, we definitely feel comfortable calling their CBD line safe. We are sticklers when it comes to our Badges, however, and will accordingly wait this one out.

As far as potency, the current COAs for Plain Jane look great, with especially high concentrations of CBD, CBG, and delta 8 in certain strains.

Plain Jane correctly points out that where and how each cannabinoid flower is grown will impact flavor and potency, so in order to ensure they provide only the best of the best, the company sources hemp grown in three different environments: outdoors, indoors, and greenhouse.

The hemp material itself is harvested from the Plain Jane farm and around a baker’s dozen of local farms in southern Oregon. All these agricultural operations maintain sustainable practices, and many are engaged in regenerative agriculture, and eco-friendly farming method staunchly promoted by Plain Jane.
