Oh boy, do we love the philosophy and spirit behind this brand. Urbul is a small California company who takes a strong stance on ethics; they bemoan the false claims and misleading ingredients that currently abound in the CBD business. Considering this is an industry that is supposed to help people, they find these practices downright unethical. And we do too! The transparency and commitment to education by Urbul is music to our ears, and their CBD product line is top notch. If they post contaminants results in addition to their cannabinoid profiles from a third-party lab, we think this brand could be a real leader in the space.

Urbul was founded by Chris Amaro, the current CEO who discovered the natural benefits of CBD oil when he used it to relieve his knee tendonitis in 2017. The company launched the following year with four partners and a simple motto — Top-tier ingredients. 100% transparency.

They’re also big fans of education, evident in the user-friendly information available on their site. They go above and beyond the average CBD vendor with a helpful quiz, research charts, and even a CBD dosage calculator. Most vendors tread lightly on the dosage front, not wanting to open themselves up to scrutiny, but Urbul throws that caution to the wind in the interest of the consumer. Their CBD dosage calculator with parameters like body weight and bottle/serving size is extremely helpful for the average customer, especially the one new to cannabidiol.

As much as we like their CBD product line, we like the way it’s laid out even more. Each product has four tabs with a detailed description, independent lab report, suggested use, and the REAL ingredients list that can be found on the packaging. We can’t tell you how many times we find these ingredients lists missing, so this level of transparency is like a breath of fresh air.

The Urbul lineup contains both isolate and full spectrum CBD options. All are sourced from domestic, organically grown industrial hemp. The CBD isolate is procured via ethanol extraction and the full spectrum cannabidiol is processed via a supercritical CO2 process in an ISO facility in Denver. Offerings include:

But they’re off to a great start. We suggest they keep at it but also perform a comprehensive contaminants test for each batch of full spectrum cannabidiol and isolate CBD used to make their products. This would put them at an illustrious four-star rating for sure.

Bottom Line – Urbul is doing almost everything right with natural ingredients, ardent transparency, charitable activity, and more. Contaminants results for their CBD oil are all that prevents them from a four-star rating.
