The Planet’s Finest Review

The Planet’s Finest is a small operation out of Oregon that intrigues us, not so much with their CBD products, but their accepted forms of payment. They currently only take echecks and cryptocurrency to purchase their four products — an interesting move, and we’d love to know more about the intention behind it. As far as their CBD catalog goes, they’re off to a great start by using all-natural ingredients, but need a bit more to increase their rating.

Necessity is the mother of invention, and while The Planet’s Finest certainly didn’t invent CBD oil or even a new CBD product category, they got their start after noticing particular needs that weren’t being met. Friends and family members searched for quality CBD products and experienced difficulty finding brands they could trust with cannabidiol that actually worked. Thus, the founders made The Planet’s Finest the brand that people could turn to for honest and effective CBD.

The brand is based in Portland, Oregon and offers ‘boutique CBD infusions’ handcrafted in small batches and ‘made with love.’ They are obviously a small operation and don’t wield any sophisticated branding. We’re not dogging them for that; it’s actually very refreshing.

As far as sourcing, they strictly use CBD isolate sourced from U.S. industrial hemp grown on organic farms. While the company does not disclose their extraction method, we were able to view a current CoA which proves the absence of residual solvents. Thus, we are happy to award the Quality Badge.

The Planet’s Finest comes close to the Safety Badge, but no cigar. They have a current CoA conducted by a third party with test results for purity/potency, microbials, residual solvents, and mycotoxins. These were performed on their CBD isolate used to make product. We’ll need to see cannabinoid profiles for each SKU, something that shouldn’t be too difficult or costly considering their limited amount of products. There also needs to be a pesticides test run on the isolate.

As we’ve already mentioned, The Planet’s Finest catalog is basic, but the ingredients are simple and natural — something we always applaud and don’t see often. First in the lineup is pure CBD isolate: 1000 mg for $70 and 500 mg for $40. Next is a clean CBD lotion for face and body with aloe and cottonseed oil ($40). Finally, the tinctures come in two strengths with two carrier options: MCT oil or organic, cold-pressed olive oil. 500 mg will set you back $45, and the 1000 mg bottle is double at $90.

Interestingly, this brand does not accept credit/debit cards as tender for their CBD products. Instead, they only take echecks and cryptocurrency. Their reasoning is mysterious, only offering the explanation, “Due to the outdated banking policies, CBD products currently can not ethically be sold using credit or debit cards.”

We’re unsure what they mean by this exactly, but it’s intriguing. The CBD space welcomes controversial opinions on authoritative bodies; many vendors openly state their problem with ‘big pharma.’ It’s certainly an industry where these discussions are welcome, so we’d like to know more about why The Planet’s Finest will take our Bitcoin but not our Mastercard.

Bottom Line – The Planet’s Finest has a quality line of CBD isolate products, but if you’re looking to pay with a debit or credit card, think again; an echeck and certain cryptos are the only accepted forms of payment.
