Transdermal CBD patches were huge when they first came on the scene — controlled release, discreet delivery, and a jump in bioavailability among the benefits. The Good Patch has taken CBD patches to the next level by adding other botanicals for synergistic effects that cater to a bad hangover (that patch is pumped with B vitamins) or even a bad breakup (the Be Calm patch has added menthol). We tip our hats to folks at The Good Patch for their innovative transdermal formulas; we just wish they’d adopt sounder testing protocols for their CBD.
The Good Patch features a line of transdermal CBD patches — stick one on and get up to 12 hours of sustained relief. The ultimate in convenience. Plus, since they bypass the digestive system, CBD patches are known to have increased bioavailability, meaning you absorb more cannabidiol, and they are the method of choice for prolonged dosing.
The Good Patch didn’t invent the CBD patch, but they did start doing something else the others didn’t think of by adding in other beneficial plant extracts for increased effect. This is the first time we’ve seen a CBD vendor incorporate additional botanicals into a transdermal patch and for that, they easily get the Innovation Badge.
The Good Patch is actually a subsidiary of L.A. company, La Mend. Started by two spa owners and a hemp advocate, La Mend and their famous CBD patches aim to help people feel their best with the natural properties of cannabidiol and other high-quality ingredients from Mother Nature. While we cannot quite see the detailed ingredients lists on The Good Patch products, from what we can tell, these guys back up their all-natural claims. There are no parabens, sulfates, latex, or artificial fragrances, but generally speaking, CBD transdermal patches are pretty clean industry wide, unlike say CBD topicals or e-liquids known for synthetics.
The Good Patch makes four CBD patches at $12/each which cater to specific issues. They’re gaining massive popularity; you can even pick one up at Urban Outfitters! Keep in mind that transdermal patches offer sustained dosing, meaning the cannabidiol will release more slowly over time.
Nite Nite is combined with melatonin for restful shut-eye, and Be Calm contains added menthol. The Period patch is an interesting combo of CBD, menthol, and black cohosh, an herb used medicinally for centuries. The last is the Hangover formulation with added B vitamins and green tea extract. Special shoutout to the packaging on this one which reads, ‘The struggle is real. We can help.’ We dig the sense of humor, and we’d be willing to bet this is the best-selling patch.
Finally, The Good Patch also sells a CBD oil tincture called the Wonder Mend. It features a combo of both CBD isolate and full spectrum oil suspended in organic MCT oil. Retail price is $55.
We really love the branding and the innovative spirit behind this vendor, so it’s disappointing we cannot award the Quality Badge. Unfortunately, we do not definitively know where The Good Patch CBD comes from, nor the extraction method, which ultimately disqualifies them from this one.
Same with the Safety Badge. The brand has a CoA that’s dated by over a year that only tested their CBD isolate (it looks like they got it from Isodiol) for cannabinoids and residual solvents. They have a current CoA for a batch of isolate, but it only includes a cannabinoid profile. There are no tests for pesticides or heavy metals and zero results available for the full spectrum oil used in their tincture.
Here’s what we want from The Good Patch. First, disclose your sourcing and your extraction method. If they’re not legit, switch. Second, run independent lab tests for all contaminants for your batch CBD isolate and batch full spectrum oil. Next, do a cannabinoid profile for at least one patch and the tincture. We like this brand, so we hope they get on board.
Bottom Line – The Good Patch offers revolutionary CBD/botanical formulations in transdermal patches, and we want them to win! But until we know more about the actual CBD that’s in these patches, we recommend proceeding with caution.

Ian says
Howdy,
My name is Ian and I work with The Good Patch. I just wanted to clarify that we do indeed offer COAs for each of our patches (not just the isolate) and test for pesticides and heavy metals.
We source all of our hemp from an all organic and licensed farm in Colorado, and we use CO2 extraction.
Thank you for taking the time to review our products, please feel free to reach out to me directly for any additional questions that you might have!
Best,
Ian
