Claim third-party testing yet no posted results
With their mission statement being about leading the food and beverage industry, it is a head-scratcher as to why Sadica are selling mostly topicals (although more consumables are listed under their “Coming Soon” page). While this mission-driven company claims to use cutting-edge quality testing that’s verified by third party laboratories, without Certificates of Analysis, no discussion on the origin or cultivation of the hemp plants, and very little information available on each product, we are forced to remain skeptical for now.
While Sadica’s products have incredibly eye-catching labels (and are offered in a comfortable range in pricing – from $35 to $125), there is an unfortunate lack of information that could help us understand who they are, where their hemp comes from, and why they are a trustworthy brand.
We love knowing the origin and cultivation methods of hemp used in consumer products; here we must accept that we know neither. We are intrigued that they enrich their CBD products with a terpene blend and steam-distilled botanicals, and love that they are mission- and health-focused. But we wish we knew more about them; given how cannabis laws have been relaxed in California (where they are based), more transparency would be stellar.
The relatively limited blog on sadica.co virtually copies and pastes from numerous other vendors, which is really unfortunate. This would be a huge opportunity for them to talk in-depth about their advanced laboratory testing, unique formulations, and other aspects of cannabis science. And yes, while they do claim testing of their products is verified by an independent laboratory, Certificates of Analysis are missing in action.
The ability to put items in the shopping cart is quite straightforward and user-friendly – ascertaining any information relevant to the products? That’s a different story entirely. It seems as though Sadica may be a up-and-coming vendor, and as such we like to leave space for them to step up and fill in the holes where necessary. Until then, Sadica will sadly remain on the list of questionable CBD vendors.
