MediPets CBD offers a line of cannabidiol products geared exclusively toward pets with 0 THC. The brand has been featured on CNN and offers free two-day shipping on all US orders over $100. The mantra is, “Your pet’s well being is our goal,” and everything is made in the USA.

MediPets CBD says their CBD catalog is formulated by pharmacists, and we appreciate their specific dosing guidelines in their FAQ. It’s a bad idea to blindly give your human CBD oil to your pet, since adjustments need to be made according to their weight. Also, while very similar to the human endocannabinoid system, your pet’s ECS operates slightly differently.

Let’s first talk about what MediPets CBD is doing right. They earn our Quality Badge, since they source their hemp from Kentucky, Colorado, and Scandinavia (through their parent company, Diamond CBD). The brand also uses supercritical CO2 extraction to process their cannabidiol, a clean method we approve of.

The Charity Badge is an easy win for MediPets CBD, too. The brand is a proud partner of Saving Sage Animal Rescue, a nonprofit in South Florida that rehabilitates abandoned pets and helps them find forever homes.

Now, we want to discuss what irks us a bit about MediPets CBD. It’s really all about two of their claims — one, that they sell a ‘100% natural CBD product’, and two, that their CBD oils for pets contain full spectrum cannabidiol.

MediPets CBD says they use ‘no synthetics’, but we found multiple examples in their CBD line, including Propylene Glycol (PG) in their CBD oil drops and sprays for both cats and dogs. There are also artificial colors and titanium dioxide, a synthetic preservative, in their CBD dog treats. Using these synthetics normally shouldn’t cause a big fuss, but the issue is that MediPets CBD claims they aren’t there. It’s misleading.

Second, the brand says that their CBD oil for pets — including the CBD spray — is a full spectrum product. However, we were unable to find the presence of any cannabinoid besides CBD in the entire lineup in their most recent third-party tests. MediPets CBD appears to be using CBD isolate.

The stars of the catalog are undoubtedly the CBD treats for dogs in a staggering 13 varieties —

everything from jerky sticks to cheese wraps and biscuits. Felines aren’t left out with CBD cat treats for tartar control that contain chicken byproduct, vitamins, fish oil, and more. Finally, CBD oil comes in both dropper and spray form for both cats and dogs with CBD, VG, and PG as ingredients.

Currently, MediPets CBD posts CoAs showing potency results for all their products. It’s a great stride, but we’ll need to see comprehensive contaminants tests to award them the Safety Badge.

Bottom Line – MediPets CBD scores points for quality and charity, but we don’t like their claims of a ‘100% natural CBD product’ with ‘no synthetics’ that are misleading to consumers.
