Lust Naked digs skin, and we dig that philosophy. Still, there’s not much on the site about where its CBD oil comes from or results of any safety testing. And while we do love that Lust Naked is dedicated to using cruelty-free products—an unfortunate rarity in the skincare world—the rest of the information gaps simply make it too difficult for us to award our quality or safety badges.

Lust Naked is clearly as passionate as its name would suggest—and the company has an extensive line of CBD oil-based products to prove it. The desire is to help everyone feel sexy in their own skin, and guilt-free about the process, through the use of ingredients not tested on animals. We love that idea as much as Lust Naked loves skin (and hemp!), but we wish we’d get just a bit more info on where that hemp comes from, and how the cannabidiol is removed from it.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Lust Naked gives it all away up front: The company’s name very aptly describes its obvious passion for skin and skincare—a procedure the company laments is typically considered by others as tragically “boring.”
So Lust Naked has decided to spice it up by adding some CBD oil to the mix.
Cannabidiol-rich products on offer at the company come in the categories of bodycare and “sexual wellness,” and span the gamut from CBD oil lotions, serums and cleansers, to cannabidiol shaving creams, sunless tanners and massage oils. (A few other particularly-naughty items also appear in their inventory). Prices are affordable across the board, ranging from $10 to $35.
We here at COR share Lust Naked’s love of all-things skincare and consider ourselves particular ingredient snobs when it comes to the CBD topicals meant to be absorbed by our body’s largest organ. As such, we’ve researched the full list of each item on offer at Lust Naked, and must mention a few items that we weren’t so excited to see: the preservatives methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone—found to be a neurotoxin in some mammalian studies—make an appearance in the company’s shaving creams, while the less worrisome but still notable additives PEG, EDTA, and Polysorbate 20 pop up in the shimmering bronzer, sunless tanner, and a few cleansers and lotions, respectively.
We will note that the company’s “edible” CBD oils are all safe to consume, with the exception of the “lickable” body powder, which contains a version of parabens – preservatives with potentially poor effects on the endocrine system.
We also fall short on information about the most important ingredient of all (in our eyes), the cannabidiol itself. The company remains mostly mum on the sourcing of its hemp and its CBD oil extraction method, both of which are very important in our ranking system.
Bottom Line – Lust Naked digs skin, and we dig that philosophy.
