Kanabia Review

Kanabia was founded by a trio of CBD biz veterans including a hemp activist and world-renowned wellness expert. The brand is a retail arm of mega-CBD producer Blue Sky Biologicals, a seed-to-sale operation with facilities located mostly in China. While we usually try to avoid China as a source for hemp CBD due to rampant pesticide use, Kanabia sets the rules on their own organic farm. What we ARE concerned about is the time lag on posting safety tests for their CBD oil!

Jerry Zeifman, Alex Chwaiewsky and Preet Marwaha are the brains behind the Kanabia brand, as well as parent company Blue Sky Biologicals. Blue Sky Biologicals has a whopping 20,000-acre hemp farm in China along with gigantic production facilities. Everything is GMP-certified and controlled from seed to sale.

The bread and butter for Kanabia is their proprietary Golden Harvest™ cannabidiol, tested to have healthy concentrations of CBD, THCV (non-psychoactive), and CBG. The brand combines this potent extract with other stellar ingredients like CO2-extracted turmeric and rosemary in their simple, but all-natural CBD catalog. Here’s what Kanabia has to offer:

Caveat coming up— Kanabia doesn’t quite get the mark for the Quality Badge. That’s because in order to verify their CBD sourced in China is indeed safe and potent the way they say it is, we’d need to see some proof.

Unfortunately, Kanabia’s potency and contamination tests for their CBD oil are dated by a year (no bueno). They also have only been providing these independent tests for their bulk cannabidiol, not each individual product. To qualify for our Safety Badge, the brand will need to provide current cannabinoid profiles for each SKU in addition to bulk contaminants tests.

Bottom Line

Kanabia has some really cool CBD products we find innovative and healthy. But honestly, we’re not getting on board until we see up-to-date lab tests…especially since their hemp comes from China.
