Hemp Honey Liquid — the name just sounds delicious. Judging from their top-of-the-line ingredients (no PG here!), we have no doubt in the tastiness of their offerings. This CBD e-liquid vendor promises an ‘enchanting experience’ with rich, full bodied vape oils they claim to be uber potent. But regardless of user experience, we cannot verify the safety or quality of the CBD oil itself. Some changes need to be made for us to consider this brand the bee’s knees.
Hemp Honey Liquid talks a lot about standards, proclaiming they hold themselves to the highest standards in CBD e-liquid production. They even call their products ‘gold standard,’ citing high potency and quality ingredients. We can verify the latter designation, as their vape liquids contain immaculate ingredients, including organic flavors, full spectrum CBD oil, and kosher VG. But we cannot verify their potency claim, which goes as far as to state that the Hemp Honey Liquid line has five times more CBD concentration than the competition.
Hemp Honey Liquid apparently uses CO2-extracted CBD oil, and their product offerings are minimal. Just three CBD e-liquids: apple crumble, blueberry hive, and bubblegum. Each 10 ml bottle supposedly contains 150 mg of CBD oil and will set you back $49.99.
Admittedly, these flavors look delicious. Flavors from organic Indonesian cinnamon and organic vanilla bean have our mouths watering. And it’s incredibly refreshing not to see any of the scary ingredients common to the CBD vape market like artificial colors and flavors and high amounts of propylene glycol (PG).
But there’s something that does scare us. Hemp Honey Liquid does not mention where they source the hemp in their CBD oil, only that it is imported industrial hemp. That, coupled with the fact that they make zero mention of testing for contaminants, is highly concerning. We’d be willing to award the Quality Badge without the exact source location IF contaminants tests were provided. That way we’d know there was a certain level of quality present, but in this case we don’t have enough knowledge to give the go-ahead.
A trending topic in the CBD world now is dirty sourcing: companies can source ridiculously cheap raw hemp material from China. Many choose to do so, but there is a huge contamination risk. And consumers are wising up. This is partly why more and more CBD vendors are providing both comprehensive certificates of analysis for their products as well as details on the origin of their hemp. Hemp Honey Liquid does neither.
Bottom Line – Even though the CBD e-liquids appear delicious and even boast premium ingredients we approve of, we just don’t know enough about the actual CBD oil in Hemp Honey Liquid products. Without knowledge of the source or any tests for safety, we are going to wait this one out.
