Who’s your (hemp) daddy? Founder Caleb is a daddy himself who, after battling health issues, found the answer to maintaining his active lifestyle — CBD oil. Hemp Daddy’s is a small operation out of Texas with an honest appeal and straightforward product line. For the most part, their ingredient choices are fantastic, and we can also verify the quality of their full-spectrum CBD oil as such. Organic. Grown and made in the USA. What’s not to love?
Caleb is a father of three and an active outdoor enthusiast who ran into some health issues like pain from a chronic injury, stress, and trouble sleeping. Like so many of us, he went the natural route, deciding to go with CBD oil to get his wellness on track. The results? Immediate. In fact, that’s what is often so striking to people new to quality CBD oil — effects can many times be seen within days.
So, Caleb launched Hemp Daddy’s to share the natural benefits of CBD with the world, but not without some important parameters. He’s against solvent extraction, only wants organically grown hemp, and believes heavy metals are a deal-breaker. Caleb found a perfect partner in WAAYB Farms, a Colorado outfit that grows organic hemp and utilizes CO2 extraction.
The Hemp Daddy’s full-spectrum CBD product line is basic, but that’s what we like about it. With the exception of their CBD topical, there’s a refreshingly short list of ingredients. Their CBD oil tinctures, for example, contain just full spectrum extract and MCT oil (the mint option has natural mint flavor added). These are available in regular, extra strength, and advanced strength and range from $50 to $179.
Then we have the innovative, water-soluble CBD tinctures with immaculate ingredients: organic Arabic, water, and CBD, to be exact. For $79, this is one of the purer water-soluble options around.
The CBD gel caps are just as simple: just full-spectrum cannabidiol, MCT oil, and a certified-vegan capsule. They’re priced at $60 for 30 capsules with 20 mg/each.
Lastly, and unfortunately, Hemp Daddy’s CBD topical is the only product without simple ingredients, and we can’t say we approve of many of them. Their CBD pain cream ($59-$85) contains Lipoderm®, a transdermal cream base that’s common in the drugstore but loaded with synthetics.
The company is ridiculously close to receiving the Safety Badge and displays a high level of transparency, even providing terpene tests. The only thing that’s missing is a third-party pesticides test. Although their source farm is certified organic (they provide the certificate on their site), pesticides are known to blow over from neighboring, non-organic operations.
We’re sticklers on the Safety Badge, but if Hemp Daddy’s can just provide this one additional test, they’ll be a five-badge vendor!
Bottom Line – We really dig Hemp Daddy’s simple and quality CBD line. They’re an honest, transparent brand and a breath of fresh air.
