With a name like Naked, it may be no surprise that the company sells products that are all natural. That was the original goal, in a mission to help offer safer alternatives to opioids for pain management, but Naked CBD’s success has since helped the company expand to include a vast array of cannabidiol products, covering every need from a morning jolt of energy to a muscle rub. And each item checks out as safe, with Naked also bearing all when it comes to third-party lab test results.
It all began with 10 acres in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. When Frogsong founders Chuck Adams and Connie Coston bought the parcel back in 2011, the land was used to grow marionberries, but the crop was nearly impossible to manage without resorting to pesticides.
Determined to cultivate only all-organic harvests, the couple searched for a new direction for their land and were soon introduced to the idea of CBD-rich hemp. And after looking into some of the benefits of cannabidiol—and hearing from several family members who were already true believers in the substance—the idea seemed even more inevitable.
Frogsong Farms’ first hemp seeds were planted in 2016, and its first batch of CBD oil produced shortly thereafter. And the company has been continuing to expand ever since.
It seems Frogsong truly takes its commitment to quality seriously. The company buys seeds specifically grown for the soil and climate of the Willamette Valley; plants its hemp in organic Fertilpots, which decompose naturally into the soil; and uses not pesticides and chemicals but a rotation of other plants to both discourage the proliferation of bugs and keep the land naturally fertile and ready to produce more crops.
Frongsong was also the first cultivator in the cannabidiol world to receive B Corp. certification, a designation attributing to its rigorous support for ethically and environmentally sustainable practices, as well as legal liabilities and public transparency.
The transparency is immediately detectable on the company’s robust FAQ page, where Frogsong answers a bevy of questions about all aspects of the CBD oil industry with quality, nuanced, and in-depth responses, even tipping potential customers off to red flags they may come across when shopping for cannabidiol.
As for their own store, Frogsong’s stocks include CBD body balms offered in four different sizes and strengths, as well as a pair of CBD oil tinctures. (The total line comes from the company’s second successful hemp crop.) All products are full-spectrum, additional ingredients are completely all-natural, and prices range from $40 to $105.
Bottom Line – It’s immediately apparent that Frogsong Farms is a deeply passionate company and deeply committed to the cause: spreading the good word of cannabidiol through a batch of safe and quality products. But it doesn’t stop there. The business itself hoists its own practices up for example, with its B Corp status speaking for its dedication to ethical and sustainable policies. The company only just misses notching our all-important safety badge as the third-party lab test results it showcases are a bit out-of-date for our standards, and they only showcase the levels of cannabidiol and THC in the products. We completely believe that the company’s products are also free of heavy metals and residual solvents, but we just can’t award the badge without seeing that in writing.
