CBD’R Us Review

If CBD gummies are your thing, CBD R Us has your number. They have an astonishing 15 varieties, the most we’ve seen to date from a CBD vendor. The company has a happy, fun vibe with bright colors and energetic branding. But with the exception of the crazy amount of options in their CBD gummy line, we’re a tad underwhelmed by the CBD R Us product lineup. Plus, we were only able to verify one badge for them due to a lack of information, comprehensive CoAs, and charity involvement. Looks like they need to make some moves to level up.

CBD R Us hails from sunny Southern California with a bright look to match the enviable climate of their base of operation. They have a super colorful, eye-catching logo and products in retail locations across the country. The company claims they are underpinned by a deep passion for quality, and all their CBD products are manufactured right here in the USA.

That’s pretty much all we know about the company itself. CBD R Us does not disclose the source of the hemp used to make the CBD oil in their products, but they do offer up that they use CO2 extraction.

Their testing protocols are not sufficient for our standards, as they currently only have one CoA posted for their CBD isolate. Their line contains both full spectrum and isolate options, so this attempt at transparency doesn’t begin to effectively cover their bases. Also, this lone CoA contains only a cannabinoid profile, no results for any contaminants whatsoever.

We recognize a good teaching moment here. When looking at a CoA, you may see pesticides tests, residual solvents, etc. with a long list of items below the category that are to be tested. For the novice, the mere presence of these lists often leads to the wrongful assumption that said tests were performed. The key is in the letters — NT means ‘not tested’ while ND means ‘not detected’. In this case, the CBD R Us CoA has contaminants tests listed, but each has the letters NT next to them, meaning they were never tested. ND are the letters you want to see. Keep this in mind when shopping for CBD oil.

The star of the CBD R Us product line is undoubtedly their CBD gummies in 15 varieties with tasty flavors. There are vegan options, rings, slices, the works, and the bright colors and fun images make us feel like kids in a candy store. But just like most candy stores, the fun flavors and colors here are the results of artificial dyes and flavorings, things we’re not too keen on, especially since a number of CBD vendors offer awesome, all-natural gummies.

Rounding out the line are full spectrum CBD honey sticks, CBD vape oil (no ingredients lists here, so we can’t review them), and CBD dog treats. The company is apparently in the process of developing CBD tinctures and a CBD topical line.

We cannot award the Quality Badge to CBD R Us, since they do not disclose the origin of their hemp, and there isn’t a current contaminants test to look at as backup. And the Safety Badge is a no-go too because their CBD isolate is the only thing tested, and all we have to go by is a cannabinoid profile.

Bottom Line – CBD R Us reads like a CBD vendor just starting out. We urge them to offer up the origin of the hemp used to make their CBD oil (and if it’s unsavory, change it) and start ordering more comprehensive safety tests for all their products. We’d love to see more all-natural CBD gummy options, too!
