Extra! Extra! Read all about it! CBDMEDIC is one of the most accessible CBD brands out there, available at your local CVS. CBDMEDIC offers a premium line of CBD skincare and topical pain relief products. Their level of quality is actually a bit of a surprise to us — it’s hard to find brands (CBD or otherwise) this commercially viable that are firmly committed to natural ingredients. The broad-spectrum CBD they use isn’t too shabby, either.
Not only is CBDMEDIC available for purchase at CVS, they have Superbowl winner and colorful personality Rob Gronkowski as their advocate and spokesperson. Gronk is genuinely passionate about bringing CBD pain relief to the masses, since it has personally helped him in his recovery from a career of major injuries and setbacks. CBD offers a great opportunity for people recovering from injuries to manage their pain safely, i.e. with no side effects from risky pharmaceuticals.
But CBDMEDIC isn’t anti-pharmaceutical. In fact, the stars of their formulations (besides CBD) are pharmaceutical-grade menthol and camphor. The brand is a great example of how the right people can harness the power of CBD along with pharmaceutical breakthroughs to create amazing products.
Since CBDMEDIC is rooted in 15 years of research and development and proudly uses the word ‘pharmaceutical,’ we honestly thought we were going to encounter at least a small handful of synthetics in their CBD product line.
We were wrong!
CBDMEDIC has an impeccably clean line. Most of their products are 100% all-natural; believe us, we checked. The only somewhat dubious ingredient is lidocaine HCL, an analgesic (numbing ingredient) that is admittedly made in a lab. But honestly, we’re not concerned, and we applaud the brand for their clean sourcing.
Let’s get into the CBD product catalog. In addition to the clean ingredients, CBDMEDIC’s line is cruelty-free and vegetarian (vegans, you just have to look out for the beeswax in the ointments). There are two categories: CBD topical pain relief and CBD skincare.
The CBD topical pain relief line contains a whopping 10 options, catering to different sources of pain and different spots on the body. The foot and ankle CBD topicals are great for runners, and we love the inclusion of off-the-beaten-path botanicals like honeysuckle oil. Our favorite of the bunch is the CBD sport stick — it’s honestly one of the cleanest we’ve ever seen. Sport sticks in the CBD arena tend to be loaded with synthetics, and this bad boy has zero.
CBDMEDIC’s skincare line contains just four options. There’s a CBD ointment for eczema, one for rash/itch, an acne cream, and a facial cleanser. Multiple studies have been conducted on CBD for acne with promising results that you can look up on your own time.
Another thing we love about CBDMEDIC is the quality of the CBD oil itself. It’s rare to find such an accessible brand with truly broad spectrum cannabidiol. Many out there make the claim, but CBDMEDIC can actually back it up. We found the following beneficial cannabinoids from their test results in addition to CBD: CBN, CBC, and CBGA.
With this level of quality, why does CBDMEDIC rank so low with us?
Even though they source their hemp from Colorado and Oregon, CBDMEDIC does not disclose their extraction method. Without a residual solvents test as backup, we cannot award the Quality Badge.
CBDMEDIC narrowly misses the Safety Badge by not posting contaminants results, though they claim to systematically test for impurities. And for now, the Charity Badge is amiss as well. If they can hop to it in these areas, they’d easily become one of our illustrious five-badge vendors.
Bottom Line – CBDMEDIC has a shockingly clean line of broad-spectrum CBD topicals available at your local CVS.

I recently bought the active sport cream from cbdmedic and after the first application, I felt it. It was a a nice tingling sensation as it has menthol. After a few uses, I have felt less pain in my shoulders and lower back. Its really a great product and will probably go and buy a few more for the family.
