CBD BioCare goes to great lengths to provide incredible quality products – from the innovative, permaculture-esque mission of CBD BioCare’s hemp supplier, to their cruelty-free and GMP guarantee, to their recent third party Certificates of Analysis proving their products are free from common contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, and residual solvents. Their MLM program aside, CBD BioCare appears to be a provider of some of the highest quality CBD products available online.
CBD BioCare was founded by Stacey and Phillip Matthews, both of whom experienced the natural benefits of CBD in themselves and loved ones. CBD BioCare stands behind the scientific/medical data worldwide that supports the use of CBD for pain, inflammation, anxiety, and more by offering a wide range of cannabidiol products and opportunities for self-employment through their direct sales platform.
CBD BioCare sources hemp grown organically in the U.S. and utilizes the the whole plant, including leaves, stalks, and flowers in their formulations. They employ supercritical CO2 extraction and are emphatic about their transparency, claiming they conduct third-party tests throughout the entire plant-to-product process.
You can in fact find a list of current CoAs on the CBD BioCare website, but a closer look reveals some gaps. In 2018, each CoA completed by Evio Labs included results for contaminants like heavy metals and residual solvents. The 2019 CoAs conducted by Encore labs only include cannabinoid profiles, no contaminants testing. CBD BioCare has a six-month-old batch test for contaminants posted, but it appears this was conducted internally, not by a third party.
The CBD BioCare product line is hearty, but not overwhelming, touching on the basic needs of the CBD consumer. It’s segmented into four lines: CBD BioCare, CBD BioSkinCare, All-Natural CBD BioSkinCare, and CBD BioPetCare. There’s definitely quality products in here but also a few things we’re not OK with.
CBD BioCare – The flagship line features a full spectrum CBD oil with hemp seed oil as the carrier. Their CBD tincture is available in original flavor and peppermint; no artificial flavors in the latter, just organic peppermint oil. Next is a CBD pain balm with emu oil whose ingredients we approve of. The third offering is a topical roll-on gel with CBD for pain that utilizes cryotherapy for a cooling sensation. Unfortunately, it contains phenoxyethanol, a chemical preservative known to cause irritation that we feel has no place in the CBD realm.
CBD BioSkinCare – We’ll keep it as brief as we can with this one. There are four CBD topicals here, all with supposed anti-aging properties, and we disapprove of the ingredients in all of them. Each CBD BioSkinCare line cream contains the following chemical additives:
We’re seeing these more and more in CBD topicals, so please look out for them, particularly polysorbate 20 and phenoxyethanol; these pose the biggest risk for toxicity and irritation. We’ve been known to give a pass for using just one of these, but all four in all four products? Too much.
All-Natural CBD BioSkinCare – This category is interesting because it has none of the scary stuff in the previous product line! A face cleansing scrub, CBD ageless cream, and CBD pain cream all contain high-quality, all-natural ingredients. Which makes us wonder, why even offer the first line? Anti-aging doesn’t have to be chemical-laden.
CBD BioPetCare – Just a solo product, this line contains quality full spectrum oil for pets.
Bottom Line – CBD BioCare earns points with us for their clean sourcing and extraction methods, their involvement in charity, and the quality of many of their CBD products. However, we’d like to see more comprehensive CoAs to issue the Safety Badge. And of course, we’d really love to see them ditch the chemical additives in their CBD skincare line.

The “charity” badge should be re-evaluated. The company is indeed actively involved in charity.
