We Reviewed Canna-Pet’s Lab Results and Here’s What We Found

Unlike most CBD brands we review that receive a 4/5 score, we have not been able to review any current, independent lab reports on Canna-Pet CBD oil products.

Although the Canna-Pet website is a wealth of information about all things pet CBD, there is something missing: lab results for their products. This is not to say that Canna-Pet does not engage in testing their CBD, as they say, they do so extensively. Rather, they’re just not posting results online for customers to review beforehand.

Instead, we noticed that when you view a CBD product on Canna-Pet’s site, you can click on two different buttons that look like they’d lead you to their CBD certificates of analysis. But alas, these links only take you to a FAQ-style page that explains what Canna-Pet tests for and how much CBD is in each of their products. Honestly, it’s a little misleading, and we wish that Canna-Pet would just go ahead and post their COAs already. We reached out to the company to view their latest independent lab reports but never received a reply.

The company tests both their bulk CBD oil and finished CBD products for potency and potential contaminants via HPLC at various stages in the production process. All Canna-Pet CBD product formulation takes place in their own cGMP laboratory, which the brand claims are the only operation of its kind in the world designed to produce cannabinoid and terpene products for animals on a large scale. All Canna-Pet CBD products are free of sugar, animal products, and wheat and are 100% cruelty-free.

We do want to note again that we are a bit confused about the Advanced Formula CBD capsules from Canna-Pet that feature CBD in powder form. They say they contain ‘unadulterated’ terpenes, cannabinoids, and flavonoids. We have to wonder– are they simply putting dried CBD flowers inside the capsules? There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s confusing. Normally when we see CBD in powder form, it’s water-soluble, made with nano CBD. Since there are no other ingredients listed like a carrier oil, we can’t help but think this is straight-up CBD flower ground up into convenient capsules for pets.
