Beam Review

Beam founders Matt and Kevin are no strangers to pushing their bodies and minds to the limit (think triathlons, cross fit, et al). Active individuals like these two often pay the price with aching joints, sore and stiff muscles, and sleepless nights. Matt and Kevin wanted to find natural solutions to their wellness issues, and BOOM! CBD changed the game.

Beam was founded on the solid belief that CBD is in fact a game changer for recovery, especially when it comes to the active or sporty lifestyle. But anyone can benefit from the natural benefits, including those of us just trying to navigate the modern world and stay sane. Beam has a little something for everyone.

What do we like about Beam? It starts with their sourcing and processing.

The Beam team gets their CBD hemp from farms in Colorado that use organic practices (i.e. no harmful pesticides or chemicals). They then use CO2 extraction, a decidedly clean method, to process their cannabidiol that they claim is full spectrum, but void of THC. Not to pick, but we think this type of CBD is better described as broad spectrum.

From there, nanotechnology is used to make their water-soluble CBD powder. Beam currently offers two nano CBD powders for mixing in hot or cold beverages: Clarity and Dream. Each formulation gives you 20mg of CBD per serving and comes in 15 single-serve packets or a 30-serving bag. The packets are excellent for travel, but you’ll save a bit with the larger month’s supply.

The Dream nano CBD powder has got to be our favorite of the Beam catalog. They’ve taken all the sleep superheroes and put them in one place: CBD, melatonin, magnesium, and l-theanine. We can’t make any claims, but boy does this look like it will do the trick.

Beam also offers an all-natural CBD salve with eucalyptus and lavender and their CBD oil tinctures in natural or mint flavors. Like most vendors these days, the brand offers subscriptions and bundles. If you’re in retail, you can sell Beam through their wholesale program.

The only area that Beam needs to shed some light on is their safety testing. While the company claims to run independent tests for purity and quality, they post none of the results online. Publishing CoAs has become industry standard, and we hope Beam gets with the program.

Other than that, Beam seems to have a pretty solid and trustworthy operation.

Bottom Line- Beam offers awesome water-soluble CBD powders and a clean line of products, but needs to post their test results online to gain more trust with consumers.
