L.A.-based Specktra is new on the scene with four formulas that combine organic essential oils with CBD for targeted relief. Usually, we find CBD brands creating these formulas with different terpene blends, but Specktra’s trained aromatherapists have chosen instead to use the finest quality essential oils to enhance cannabidiol’s natural benefits. Specktra is off to a great start, but they need to post contaminants tests online to ease our minds.

Specktra’s main thing is combining full-spectrum CBD oil with essential oil blends to target specific health issues. Tons of CBD companies do this with terpenes, and many use essential oils. But very few use these potent oils in ingestible products like CBD tinctures. Ingesting essential oils is serious business, and you need to be certain your source is impeccable to ensure your safety.

Lucky for you, Specktra uses only 100% organic essential oils, and since that’s a rarity in the space, they deserve the Innovation Badge. Superstar healers like ylang-ylang and bergamot make up the different wellness arsenals in each formula: Relief, Recovery, Tranquility, and Awake. The Relief CBD products are geared toward pain and inflammation, while Recovery is aimed at sleep health. Tranquility targets anxiety, and finally, Awake is meant to encourage energy and focus.

The Specktra line of full-spectrum CBD products is focused, and we don’t mind the lack of sweeping categories because of something more important — the integrity of ingredients. Specktra only includes the all-natural goodness, and as previously stated, it’s incredibly important to only ingest high-quality essential oils from a trusted source. CBD oil tinctures suspended in MCT oil are available in each formula, as are their delicious vape pens. Specktra also offers a transdermal CBD patch exclusively in the Relief formula for 96 hours of steady release.

We find it odd that each formula is only offered at one concentration in the CBD tinctures and vape pens, and each amount is different. For example, the Awake tinctures are only offered in 250mg concentration and the Relief only comes in a 600mg option; similar deal with the vape pens. Specktra seems to assume that people will want higher concentrations of Relief and less of Awake…or perhaps that’s just us assuming.

Unfortunately, we cannot award the Quality or Safety Badges at this time. Specktra sources their CBD oil from California hemp but makes zero mention of how they extract it. And even though they post current and independent cannabinoid profiles for each SKU (an awesome start), we need to see contaminants tests for their CBD to officially approve them for the Safety badge.

Bottom Line – If you’re looking for an all-natural CBD vendor with the highest quality essential oil blends, Specktra is definitely up there. But we would like to find out more about their CBD oil itself, including their extraction method and contaminant tests.
