We were a little confused when we first discovered this brand. That’s because Discover CBD is more like two companies: the first, an online CBD catalog, and the second called Active CBD oil is their line of quality cannabidiol products from Colorado. Discover CBD talks big about their large selection, and rightfully so — you’ll find all sorts of products, from CBD isolate and full spectrum staples to their more exotic (and awesome), water-soluble CBN tinctures.

Discover CBD recognized the great demand for quality CBD oil products firsthand when they saw many families uprooting their lives to move to Colorado for access to legal hemp. Their mission is to bring the natural benefits of CBD to the masses with their sweeping line of products that caters to pretty much every consumer under the sun.

Apparently, the three founders of Discover CBD include a doctor, a cannabis expert, and a third person with experience in the supplement industry. Sounds actually like the perfect mix.

Discover CBD is obviously trying to be an industry titan, quickly expanding their product line and offering numerous opportunities for those in the CBD business, including:

• Wholesale
• White labeling
• Franchising (Discover CBD has retail stores in several states).
• CBD oil vending machines

While Discover CBD doesn’t technically make any CBD oil products, their subsidiary called Active CBD Oil does. In fact, when you go shopping for products on the Active website, you are redirected to the Discover CBD site.

Therefore, in this review, we will only consider the Active CBD Oil products being sold on the Discover CBD website, not any of the other offerings from third-party vendors.

Active CBD Oil uses non-GMO Colorado hemp grown sans pesticides and a clean CO2 extraction method. They consequently get our Quality Badge for their dizzying line of cannabidiol with isolate, broad-spectrum, and full-spectrum CBD. Oh my! We won’t touch on every single product here, but we let you know where we found something great.

Active CBD oil currently makes the following CBD products available for sale at Discovercbd.com:

• CBD tinctures – Wow! They really cover the gamut here, and we like what we see. You can choose from water-soluble broad-spectrum (0% THC) CBD oil, broad-spectrum CBD oil with MCT, and full-spectrum CBD oil in MCT. FYI, the full spectrum tincture is particularly robust, with nice concentrations of CBG and CBC.
• Water-soluble CBN tincture – We’re awarding Discover CBD/Active CBD Oil the Innovation Badge in part, because of this product. CBN is an up-and-coming cannabinoid, and this is one of the only water-soluble CBN tinctures we’ve seen to date.
• Water-soluble CBG tincture – Ditto on this one.
• CBD capsules (water-soluble!)
• CBD vape products
• CBD oil syringes
• CBD hemp flower pre-rolls
• CBD edibles – We’re cool with the CBD chocolate and coffee, but the gummies here have artificial flavors and colors.

• CBD topicals – This batch of CBD topicals aren’t too shabby. Most are all-natural, and the CBD patch with lidocaine is a great idea for achy muscles. We did find a couple of synthetics in the CBD lotion, but nothing troubling like parabens or formaldehyde.

Discover CBD is really close to receiving our Safety Badge. We want to applaud them for providing current potency results on all their SKUs. With a catalog this big, that shows a high-level commitment to transparency. But to get our Safety Badge, they’ll need to also post contaminants tests that show their results for heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, and microbials.

Bottom Line – Discover CBD — through their consumer brand Active CBD Oil — offers quality CBD products grown and made in America with some really cutting-edge items like water-soluble CBN tinctures.
