Zatural was originally founded by naturopath MaryAnn Strager to enhance the wellness of her patients. They carry a variety of CBD products — including water-soluble CBD softgels — in addition to their arsenal of supplements, oils, extracts, and soaps. According to our methodology, Zatural is rated fairly high due to their clean sourcing, charity, and innovative practices. They deserve their score, but a claim of selling strictly all-natural products does not seem to fit with the ingredient list on some of their products.
Founder of Zatural, MaryAnn Strager, is an impressive powerhouse of natural healing knowledge. She’s a naturopathic doctor, acupuncturist, aromatherapist, and grandmother, and that’s just scratching the surface of her credentials. Strager embarked on her mission to learn as much as she could about natural health and wellness to improve the lives of her family members, and now, that knowledge extends to the many happy Zatural customers.
Zatural sources U.S. hemp primarily from Colorado and utilizes supercritical CO2 extraction in their CBD products, making them obvious contenders for quality. The brand is family-owned and promotes family values, evident in the heartfelt charities they are involved with that are close to their hearts.
The Zatural product catalog is massive and includes more than just CBD supplements. Word to the wise — Be careful navigating the site, as the brand also sells hemp seed oil. Make sure you’re in the CBD product category and check out all the faves from full spectrum drops to topicals, CBD for pets, and Zatural’s ever-popular CBD essential oils.
One of our favorite cannabidiol products from Zatural is the anti-aging CBD cream. It has clean, natural ingredients and probably does the trick. They also offer a subscription box starting at around $80/month that’s lucrative (up to 50% off) if you’re willing to prepay for your subscription.
But we aren’t fans of a couple of the CBD topicals that contain synthetic ingredients, namely the CBD hot cream with phenoxyethanol and triethanolamine. These ingredients on their own don’t make us sound the alarm, but we find it slightly dissonant that Zatural has the following statement on their About Page…
Zatural is different from other companies because we only sell all-natural products. None of our products contain harsh chemicals, fillers or additives.
Zatural does a lot of things right. However, we would love to see either less synthetic ingredients or less all-natural claims to cover their bases. And if they can post independently conducted tests (they currently post mainly internal ones), Zatural can become a five-badge vendor.
Bottom Line – Zatural has a lot going for them by way of quality, and their CBD line has all the staples.
Zatural uses organically grown U.S. hemp and supercritical CO2 extraction to procure their CBD catalog.
Zatural has not been verified to provide current, third-party lab results for both potency and contaminants.
Zatural contributes to various nonprofit organizations, including the Africa Heartwood Project and K9 Warriors.
Zatural is driven to help as many people as possible achieve their natural wellness goals through premium CBD products.
Zatural utilizes water-soluble cannabidiol in their CBD softgels.
