W!NK claims to be the first CBD brand by women and for women, and while we’re not sure if they were really the first, these ladies still earn serious innovation points for their groundbreaking CBD products. The entire WINK line is female-focused, although their extensive cannabidiol offerings can be enjoyed by anyone. Most of the WINK line is clean, and the best parts are the special treats you won’t find anywhere else (yet) in the space like their CBD liquid Stevia.

W!NK founder Stacy Verbiest started the brand after creating CBD oil options for a friend diagnosed with serious illness. After seeing the dramatic positive effects, she made it her purpose to offer the healing benefits of CBD to women everywhere. The company started their own nonprofit to provide mammograms to women in need, and it’s clear that their mission and hearts are in the right place.

WINK claims to be the cannabis industry’s first line for women and by women, but that’s not why we’re giving them the Innovation Badge. The team at WINK thinks outside the box, offering items unique to their brand. First up is their CBD liquid Stevia, a perfect cannabidiol-infused way to naturally sweeten food and drinks the healthy way.

Next up are their vape CBD e-liquids. These contain only CBD oil (isolate) and terpenes — that’s it! Not only is there no PG, there isn’t even an oily base like MCT oil or VG. WINK instead has a proprietary process called Terpessence™ in which they make the cannabidiol super refined to a consistency perfect for vaping. Terpenes are then introduced in seven different varieties and BOOM! Perhaps the simplest and most natural option for CBD e-liquids you will find.

WINK also includes goodies that aren’t new, but not seen with average CBD vendors, like CBD sunscreen and CBD lip scrub. The catalog is broken down into three categories: topicals, tinctures and capsules, and CBD vape. And the price point is reasonable with most offerings hovering around the $30 mark.

Now, for the not-so-fun part where we’re obligated to disclose any synthetic/chemical ingredients. First off, only three products of over 15 offerings have a weird ingredient, and in the CBD topical space, that’s pretty darn clean. WINK is not a heavy offender, but phenoxyethanol is lurking in the face and eye cream, along with polysorbate 60 in the former. We do want to point out that there is an ‘all-natural’ graphic on these product pages which is, therefore, misleading.

The most concerning ingredient is octinoxate in the CBD sunscreen. Like parabens, this is a chemical compound that mimics hormones; it’s documented to disrupt human endocrine system function. Especially since their products are geared toward women, we highly suggest taking this one out.

Finally, while WINK sources their CBD hemp from organic farmers in Europe, we do not know the extraction method, nor if their CBD oil is free of contaminants. Currently, the company only posts cannabinoid profiles.

WINK has a clean, bright, feminine feel, and they’ve created an impressive line of CBD products with options unique to the brand. We encourage the team to disclose their extraction method and post contaminants results in addition to their cannabinoid profiles to earn a place in the coveted five-badge club.

Bottom Line – WINK is a solid female-oriented brand in the CBD space with a penchant for innovative products. Posting contaminants tests will get them a higher rating with us.
