Los Angeles-based Leafy Drops started last year, after its veteran owner found their own success with CBD oil to combat depression and anxiety. Its mission, it says, is to help people, and it seems to follow through, not only offering quality—and safe—products for humans, but using other ingredients in their products that are helpful for other members of the primate family.
This veteran-owned company is on a “mission to help people,” and seems to be following through with some military precision.
Like many in the cannabidiol space, the company was borne of a personal experience: Struggling against major anxiety and depression, its owner found therapy less helpful than they’d hoped when returning home. But, still searching for a natural solution, they turned to—and found success with—CBD oil.
Leafy Drops was started in the wake of that victory, and today the company offers four different tinctures and two types of CBD-infused topicals.
Ingredients in the cannabidiol elixirs are all-natural, including just CBD oil and MCT oil in the tinctures. (But the mission to help others apparently expands beyond the human race: Leafy Drops uses palm oil-free MCT oil. The explosion of palm oil use in recent years has helped lead to the fast destruction of native palm forests, which are some of the last remaining natural habitats for orangutans).
Its two topical creams include other dreamy plant-based mixtures that are good for skin, and all six products include links to recent test results for CBD purity and quality. Prices range from $30 to $90 for the tinctures, depending on potency, and between $50-$60 for the cannabidiol-infused skin creams.
And as much as we like their ethically-minded sourcing of palm oil-free MCT oil, the company shows other charitable intentions, announcing in their blog that a portion of all proceeds will go toward helping kids with autism starting in 2019. (We look forward to getting more updates on this venture in order to award them our charity badge).
Bottom Line – Leafy Drops shows many signs of having the right stuff. Their products hit the mark for quality and earn our rigorous safety badge thanks to their up-to-date CoAs. We also applaud their mission and hope they follow through with more details on their charitable giving. Add a little innovation to the mix, and we’d be looking at a five-star company.
