Shanti Wellness Review

Shanti, the Sanskrit word for peace and tranquility, is the guiding inspiration behind Shanti Wellness, a chic blender of broad spectrum CBD with some of nature’s most famous adaptogens. Shanti looks the part with beautiful branding and a positive message; they definitely talk the talk. And we’ve watched this brand blossom by walking the walk with quality ingredients and potency test results for each SKU. Adding just a few more contaminants tests to their protocols will make them a five-badge vendor.

Shanti Wellness markets themselves as an apothecary, though they never explicitly say that, by using adaptogenic ingredients like curcumin (turmeric) and ashwagandha in their blends and exuding that feel. The founders supposedly experienced chronic anxiety and stress courtesy of the weight of modern life and sought natural answers in Ayurvedic herbs. Through their research they encountered CBD oil, experienced the benefits themselves, and decided to include it in their artisanal blends. The team has over 20 years of experience between them in the holistic field, and they exude a decidedly modern, holistic essence.

Their CBD hemp is cleanly sourced from Colorado, and while Shanti does not disclose their extraction method, they get the Quality Badge since we have seen current third-party tests that confirm their cannabidiol is free of residual solvents.

The Shanti Wellness broad spectrum product line is beautiful, aesthetically speaking, with simple, sleek packaging, and they do not exclusively sell CBD products. For our purposes, we will only discuss the products containing CBD extract. First up are the Balance Premium Hemp CBD tinctures with broad spectrum CBD oil, hempseed oil, grapeseed oil, peppermint, and Stevia. Next, the Soothe Hemp CBD Body Balm features a delicious, all-natural blend of skin-loving ingredients like eucalyptus oil.

The last product category is the CBD softgels that come in three varieties: Relief with curcumin, Calm with MCT oil and Beta-caryophyllene, and Tranquil with ashwagandha. All contain water-soluble CBD nanoparticles for better absorption, making Shanti Wellness eligible for the Innovation Badge.

Currently, Shanti Wellness is doing decently on the transparent testing front, but not quite well enough to earn our Safety Badge. Three of their five SKUS have up-to-date, independent test results posted for cannabinoid content and residual solvents (arguably the most important contaminants test). However, one SKU is missing a test, and the Relief CBD softgels results are in an internal document dated by over one year. The brand needs to get these two SKUs current and also include contaminants tests for pesticides, microbials, and heavy metals to get this final badge in their arsenal.

Finally, we see on the Shanti Wellness Insta page that they have donated to local activists in the LA area, so we are happy to award the Charity Badge.

Bottom Line – Shanti Wellness is a beautiful CBD brand with a good vibe and quality ingredients. All they need is to up their contaminants testing game, and we foresee the five-badge rating in their future.
