Hempotion Review

Hempotion is a miniscule brand competing in a jungle of heavy-hitters with more visibility and more to offer. But just because a CBD brand is small, does not mean they are automatically ruled out. We see smaller boutique brands all the time that are doing it right, offering premium cannabidiol products, educating their customers, and developing loyal followings. Hempotion is not one of these companies. There is no dynamic message, no cohesive mission, and worse, no available test results for safety. They need to disclose more about what they do because in the CBD space, that’s just what you do. And for those CBD companies that don’t, we’re watching you.

We admittedly don’t know too much about the Hempotion Brand due to an oddly basic website that looks strikingly old school (not in a good way) and a lack of information both on part of Hempotion themselves as well as their third-party CBD oil vendors.

Hempotion is a California company that purportedly uses whole plant, or full spectrum, CBD oil in all their formulations. They source from industrial hemp grown following organic practices and extracted via a proprietary extraction method. Which method? CO2 extraction? Solvent extraction? Couldn’t tell you.

From a safety perspective, things don’t look too bright. Hempotion has a lab results tab on their site, but no active corresponding page exists. And what’s up with them listing ‘natural chlorophyll’ as something they produce/sell when it’s not included in any of the products? We were excited about a possible new CBD oil/chlorophyll combo, but alas, not in the cards.

We can certainly get through the product line quickly. Hempotion sells just two: their water-soluble CBD concentrate and CBD hemp root lotion. The full spectrum CBD concentrate comes in two sizes and three concentrations. The carrier oil is grapeseed oil, an uncommon but nutritious choice we approve of. We happen to approve of all the ingredients in the CBD hemp root lotion too. All-natural, not to mention potent plant healers like pecan oil, ivy extract, chamomile extract, and more actually make this look like a really cool CBD topical.
